Earth Augers - A4
Earth Augers for machines up to 5t are manufactured by Digga in Australia from quality materials.
The A4 auger range can be supplied with 3 different tooth combinations.
- Earth Teeth
- TC Teeth - Tungsten Carbide
- MFT Teeth - Multi Face Tungsten Carbide
The Earth Teeth are ideal for soft ground with no floaters (loose rocks), while TC teeth are an earth tooth with a strip of flat carbine along the leading edge to prolong its life. Perfect for soft ground with some floaters and tree roots.
MFT teeth feature pointed tungsten carbine teeth along the leading edge of the tooth to give better bite and longevity. Ideal for soft to hard ground with floaters, roots and some fracturable rock.
Earth Rock Combo Augers - RC4
The Earth Rock Combo feature a tapered tooth with multi Face Tungsten tips.
The auger is ideal for breaking up hard ground, drilling in shale and permafrost.
Manufactured in Australia by Digga, this RC auger allows you to drill in most ground conditions without the maintenance required by a dedicated rock auger.
Dedicated Rock Augers - DR4
McCormack Industries distributes quality Australian made Digga Dedicated Rock Augers.
The DR range of augers feature a 19mm rotating rock picks. This auger is ideal for drilling fracturable rock, but it is not suited to drilling in normal ground. To be effective the rock picks need to rotate freely while drilling. Soil binds the teeth preventing them from spinning resulting in flat spots and excessive wear.
DR augers require plenty of downforce to be effective as they work to fracture the rock. If in doubt whether your machine has enough downforce please give our office a call.
